Mississauga, ON, June 29, 2023 — Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP) is pleased to announce that Dino Bianco, Chief Executive Officer, Kruger Products Inc. will receive the 2023 Award of Distinction at this year’s annual CEO & Executive Leadership Conference. The conference will be held from October 12-13 at the White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
This prestigious award is presented to Dino in recognition of his significant contribution to, and leadership within, FHCP and the Canadian food, health and consumer products manufacturing industry. Dino has been an active member of FHCP’s Board of Directors for many years, including previous participation and leadership of numerous committees and as Board Chair.
“It is my absolute privilege to celebrate Dino’s leadership, passion and contributions to the CPG industry through this award,” explains FHCP CEO, Michael Graydon. “This recognition pales in comparison to the high esteem in which Dino is held across industry, both as visionary leader and as a supporter to the many individuals and organizations he has helped to reach their potential throughout his career, including FHCP.”
FHCP’s Award of Distinction has been presented since 2010. Past recipients include Carol Stewart (2019), Jamie Moody (2022), Margaret Hudson (2022), as well as John Pigott (2017) and others.
Dino has had an accomplished and highly successful career to date. During his tenure with Kraft Foods, he had broad and senior experience in finance, sales, marketing, and senior management. As President of Kraft Canada, Dino successfully led a business with several billion dollars in sales, 23 brands, 11 facilities and with more than 5,000 employees. Furthermore, he had extensive U.S. and foodservice experience having served as President of Kraft’s multi-billion U.S. Beverage division based in Chicago, where he was responsible for driving significant growth, profits, and innovation.
In 2018, Dino joined Kruger Products as the CEO. Kruger Products is Canada's leading manufacturer of quality tissue products for household, industrial, and commercial use. Kruger Products serves the Canadian consumer market with such well-known brands as Cashmere®, Purex®, SpongeTowels®, Scotties®, White Swan® and BonterraTM as well as the White Cloud® brand in the US. Kruger Products has over 2,700 employees and operates nine production facilities in North America. Among many of Dino’s accomplishments at Kruger Products, one of the most rewarding would include the completion of the construction of the $575 million state of the art plant in Sherbrooke during Covid-19 and having the plant start-up on time and on budget.
Dino has also developed a strong relationship with Canadian retailers over his career and in 2013 was the recipient of the Food Industry Association of Canada’s “Golden Pencil” award, recognizing his lifetime contribution to the grocery sector. In August 2021, he was the recipient of The Grocery Business Hall of Fame.
He has extensive board experience having served on the Boards of Welbit Foodservice (WBT.NYSE), Andrew Peller LTD (ADW.A-TSX), and Manitowoc Company (MTW.NYSE). Dino has also served as past Chair of Food, Health & Consumer Products Canada and sat on the Board of The Grocery Foundation and Board of Trustees of the United Way of Toronto.
Dino is a Chartered Professional Accountant beginning his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
