This accolade, presented since 1957, honors individuals who have made significant contributions to both the Canadian food industry and their communities.

John's remarkable career spans nearly three decades of dedicated service to private company and industry boards, task forces, and associations, including an impressive 33 years of leadership within our own organization. As the current Vice-Chair of our Board of Directors, John has exemplified commitment, innovation, and unwavering support for Canadian food, beverage, and consumer product manufacturing.

We are thrilled to see John recognized alongside Eileen MacDonald, CEO and President of GS1 Canada, and Karl Vokey, retired SVP for Sobeys, at the Golden Pencil Awards ceremony, which will take place following Canadian Grocer's GroceryConnex conference in Toronto on November 25.
