October 18, 2024 (Mississauga, ON) — Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP) is pleased to announce that Elizabeth (Liz) Beemer, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Health at Bayer Canada, has been named the recipient of the 2024 Award of Distinction. This prestigious award was presented during this year’s annual CEO & Executive Leadership Conference, held from October 17-18 at the White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Liz Beemer is a seasoned business leader with over 30 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. Since joining Bayer as the Senior Vice President and General Manager in 2013, she has successfully led the Canadian Consumer Health business to over a decade of consecutive growth and profitability, more than doubling its size. In addition to her role at Bayer, Liz serves as Vice Chair on the Executive Board of Directors at FHCP, contributing significantly to the organization’s mission and initiatives.

Prior to her tenure at Bayer, Liz held senior positions at Triumph International (Canada), Playtex Canada, and Heinz Canada. She is widely recognized for her passion for building high-performing, customer-centric teams based on the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

FHCP’s CEO, Michael Graydon, shared his thoughts on Liz’s recognition: “It is my absolute privilege to celebrate Liz’s leadership, passion, and contributions to the FMCG industry through this award. This recognition is a testament to the high esteem in which Liz is held across the industry, both as a visionary leader and as a mentor to many individuals and organizations she has helped throughout her career, including FHCP.”

The FHCP Award of Distinction has been presented since 2010, honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the Canadian food, health, and consumer products manufacturing industry. Past recipients include notable industry leaders such as Carol Stewart (2019), Jamie Moody (2022), Margaret Hudson (2022), and Dino Bianco (2023), among others.
