October 21, 2024 (Mississauga, ON) – Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP) is pleased to announce the appointment of new leadership across its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Several new members, each bringing a wealth of industry expertise, are poised to guide FHCP’s strategic direction.
John Pigott, CEO of Morrison Lamothe, has been appointed as FHCP’s new Board Chair. With his extensive experience and deep commitment to the food and consumer products sector, John’s leadership will be pivotal in driving our organization’s mission forward.
Joining the Executive Committee are:
- Katie Decker (Kenvue), Chair of the Health Products Management Committee, whose expertise in health products will help shape FHCP’s strategy in this sector.
- Peter Luik (Dare Foods Limited), Chair of the Canadian Manufacturing Management Committee, bringing operational expertise to support manufacturing initiatives.
- Trevor Squires (McCormick Canada), Chair of the Membership Management Committee, whose leadership in expanding and engaging membership will enhance the Executive Committee’s strategic decisions.
In addition, FHCP welcomes new Board members Ryan Engel (Bayer Inc.), Noam Pik (Procter & Gamble Inc.), Omar Zausa (Ferrero Canada Ltd.), and Vincent Mendes de Franca (General Mills Canada Corporation).
We extend our sincere thanks to departing members Elizabeth Beemer, Geraldine Huse, Alessandro Natola, and Christine Cruz Clarke, for their dedicated service and invaluable contributions during their time on the Board.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Gary Wade, President of Unilever Canada, who is stepping down from his role as FHCP Board Chair, a position he has held since 2021. Gary’s strategic direction and leadership have been instrumental in guiding FHCP through significant milestones and challenges over the past three years. We are pleased to share that Gary will continue to serve on the Board as a Director, ensuring his continued valuable contributions to our organization and industry.
